BASIC Bank organized Doa Mahfil and discussion on International Mother Language Day

State-owned BASIC Bank Limited organized Doa Mahfil and discussion to pay tributes to the language movement martyrs on the occasion of Shaheed Dibash (Martyrs Day) and International Mother Language Day on Monday, 27 February 2023 at bank’s head office. The Managing Director & CEO of the Bank, Md. Anisur Rahman presided over the doa mahfil and discussion.

While Professor Dr. Abul Hashem, Chairman, Md. Razib Pervez, Dr. Nahid Hossain, Dr. Md. Abdul Khaleque Khan, and Shamim Ahammed, Directors of BASIC Bank Limited attended the program as guests. At the discussion, speakers paid glowing tribute to the martyrs of the historic 1952 Language Movement for their supreme sacrifices to establish Bangla as their mother language. Fateha and special doa munajat were also offered seeking eternal peace for the departed souls of the historic Language Movement. Among others, Md. Abdur Rahim, Abu Md. Mofazzal and Md. Abul Kalam Azad, Deputy Managing Directors, and General Managers were present in the discussion. While senior executives and other employees were present in the program virtually.
