Real Time Utility Bill Payment System

BASIC Bank PLC. launched Real Time Utility Bill Payment System on May 8, 2014. At present, customers of Dhaka WASA, BTCL, DPDC, DESCO, TITAS and KGDCL can pay their utility bills on real time basis from any branch of BASIC Bank across the country.

• BASIC Bank PLC is the only state-owned bank in Bangladesh that offers customers the facility to pay their utility bills on a real-time basis.
• As soon as a customer pays a utility bill at any branch of BASIC Bank PLC and the payment information is entered into the Real-Time Utility Bill Payment System, the payment details are instantly updated on the billing server of the respective utility service provider. As a result, customers receive immediate confirmation of their bill payment, while utility service providers can access up-to-date payment information in real time.
• Under the conventional manual bill payment process, customers often face inconvenience because payment information may not reach the respective utility service provider promptly, or the provider's billing server may not be updated in a timely manner. Consequently, customers may experience issues even after making the payment. However, by using the Real-Time Utility Bill Payment System, customers can avoid such inconveniences, as their payment information is updated instantly and accurately.
